The CEJJES Institute was founded to honor and continue the work of Drs. Edmund W. and Susan G. Gordon; life long activists and advocates for the emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children.

   Edmund W. Gordon is a nationally renowned developmental, cognitive and educational psychologist, the John M. Musser Professor of Psychology, Emeritus at Yale University, the Richard March Hoe Professor Emeritus of Psychology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and currently the interim Vice President of  Academic Affairs and Dean of Teacher’s College.

   Susan G. Gordon, is a retired Associate Professor of Pediatrics who taught for more than 25 years at New York Medical College and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University and delivered health care during her teaching career and in private practice to tens of thousands of infants and children.
